GEM supports the focused training and operational requirements of the US Special Operations Forces and the Intelligence communities. Mr. James Williamson, President/CEO, recently served as the President/CEO of Shee Atika Services (SAS) for three years. In this position he became keenly adept at the nuances of operating an 8(a) Alaska Native-owned Corporation (ANC) and a small Disadvantaged Business. He has over 12 years of experience as co-founder and Vice President of WorldWide Language Resources. WWLR, a multi-million dollar corporation, is one of the respected as one of the industry leaders of providing role players, foreign language instruction, combat interpreters and intelligence support services. Mr. Williamson was responsible for providing SME support to numerous intelligence and Special Operations customers, both CONUS and in OCONUS hostile fire zones. He recruited and vetted more than 2000 interpreters and SME's over the course of twn years in locations to include programs in the Balkans, Africa, Afghanistan and Iraq. As a reserve Colonel attached to US Special Operations Command, (USSOCOM), Williamson served as senior military Counter Drug Officer, CT Officer, and assignments in J3X and J2x. He served as a Squadron Commander for Joint Support Activity (JSA), SOJ2X. In addition to supporting USSOCOM components, JSA also supported HUMIMT Center Of Excellence (HT-JCOE) located at Fort Huachuca, AZ. Williamson has served as an instructor, operator, staff officer and OIC for many large and complex CI/HUMIMT Mobile Training Teams deployed on Foreign Internal Defense (FID) missions providing instruction to coalition allies. He is currently a Squadron Commander of Joint Operations Support Element (JOSE). Mr. Williamson has managed large, complex simultaneous programs in Afghanistan and Iraq to include support to USSOCOM, Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force (CJSOTF), Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), Department of State (DOS), Guantanamo and other other government agencies. Since inception, SAS, through the direct supervision of Williamson, has provided foreign language training programs for 1 SFG(A), 500th Brigade, MI Brigade, Foreign Military Studies Office (FMSO), Intelligence role players for USASOC's Advanced Special Operations Techniques (ASOT) course, Strategic Cultural Advisor Subject Matter Experts (SME) for USSOCOM and War Game Support for the US Naval War College for Joint Forces Command. Mr. Williamson is a reserve Special Forces Colonel with 29 years of Special Operations and intelligence experience to include Combined and Joint Staff service with NATO, SOCCENT and USSOCOM. He is a veteran of The Gulf War, Provide Comfort (Kurdish Refugee Humanitarian Relief), Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan), Operation Iraqi Freedom and other support to the global war on terrorism (GWOT). He holds a Masters Certificate in Government Contracting from George Washington University. He is a member of the Special Forces Association (SFA) and The Association For Intelligence Officers (AFIO).
